Barat Ceramics GmbH is a traditional, yet progressive and
forward thinking company, employing more than 170
employees and well-known in the international marketplace.
Established since 1909, Barat manufactures technical cera-
mics and today produces a wide range of modern oxide
ceramic materials for applications.

Synthetic raw materials and modern manufacturing techniques
ranging from forming, sintering, grinding and other post sintering
operations are optimum requirements for customer-oriented
solutions. The company has extensive experience in composite
products, i.e. the joining of ceramic and metal components by brazing, bonding or other attachment techniques.

Key products include alumina and zirconia components
for machine- and plant engineering, electrotechnics/
electronics, sensory analysis and high-temperature applications.
Laboratory facilities offer customers the capacity to analyse
material and product for research and development.

A well equipped tooling department manufactures tooling dies,
punches and metal components for internal use and also to
customer specification.
